Your connection to Braunwald
The Braunwald funicular is the only connection to Braunwald. The funicular overcomes 600 metres in altitude in 7 minutes and takes you to the car-free Braunwald sun terrace. You can easily reach the Linthal valley station by car or public transport (Linthal-Braunwaldbahn station). There are plenty of parking spaces at the valley station of the Braunwaldbahn at reasonable rates (CHF 5 / day).

Rush hour
The BRSB runs daily between 06.25 and 08.25 and 16.25 and 17.55 every quarter of an hour.

During the other operating hours (05.25 - 22.55) the BRSB runs every half hour. The last departure is at 11.55 pm. During the winter season, there is an additional late service at 00.40 on weekends.

If there is a corresponding number of guests, unscheduled trips will also be carried out.

Redevelopment
The Braunwald Railway was extensively renovated in 2023 - 2024 to ensure a reliable connection between Linthal and Braunwald. The upgrading also creates barrier-free access.
